I was swapping out my Fender 63 and went rifling through my parts drawer. I found what looks like a Fender pickup as it has the metal plate attached. The coil looks like the 63 (dark color) but wound to a lower resistance (10.8) and sounds more classic than the 63. Thing is, the pole pieces aren't beveled and the A string pole isn't raised so I don't think it's an original/62 or a 57. Any other maker come with the metal plate? I can't find any identifying marks. I've bought so many over the years I guess I forgot which this one is and didn't label it. A few pics attached. It's a long shot but figured I'd ask.
