Pickup Materials

OK so I’ve built a couple of basses for myself and will start my third shortly.
I decided to give winding my own pickups a try. Depending on how they turn out I may or may not use the on my next build.

Does anybody have any suggestion on where to by the materials like the wire and magnets?

Hi - I dug this thread up from a search - I too am asking the same, but for suppliers in the UK specifically.

All you UK builders out there..who are your main pickup wire suppliers?
