Pickup Order Blues....

Ordered a set of Honey Badger Heavy Hitters direct from them on 4/20/18. Still haven’t received them... Some things happened to the guys family which made them close up shop, but he offered to fulfill the order, which I agreed to, and has still not delivered or refunded. Haven’t got a response from Rod since 01/03/19.

Which Bartolini’s are you waiting from and from whom.

Classic Bass P5. I didn’t see anywhere that they were out of stock (just looked again, couldn’t find anything saying so).

Regrettably for me I planned the bodies around those specs and can’t easily redesign, so I wait. But as I said, I’m not really ready to play, I just wanted to wire them up and make sure everything fits before I put the finish on.

You mean these?
Bartolini 58CBP P-Bass, 5-String, Classic Bass, Thick Tone, Split Coil Pair Pickups

Original Splits set in a soapbar through bestbassgear. Shipping to Canada so I'm limited in retail/distribution. Both Bart and Best have been friendly/polite. As I said in my first post, there could be a million factors as to why.
Yeah. That one might be persnickety to get. Wasn’t impressed by bestbassgear myself. I tried them first when I was initially looking. Left two emails to their lead teach to call me regarding the b-Axis pups, but no response. Hope yours comes soon.

I've got the pickup order bllLLLLlluuUUUueeeessssss... waiting on a pickup order through a reputable online retail/distributor and been told the manufacturer is backordered with with a bunch of retailers. No need for names, not complaining. These things happen. I understand there are a million + 1 things that cause/effect etc.

I am curious, what is the longest time a pickup took to get from order to in your hands? I'm going on 4 months now, can anyone beat that?

I was working with a custom pickup builder to build custom pickups for my 4-2-5 Rickenbacker 4004 basses. It took them about 3 or 4 years to build me 3 custom pickups, and when I finally got them they were substandard. The upside is they never charged me anything. I eventually threw the pickup away because none of them were as good as the $20 cheap ebay pickups that I can get.
