Pickup Recommendation: More "P" Sound in "J"

I'm trying to get more of a P tone out of my J bass when using only the front pickup.

Looking for recommendations as a neck pickup replacement.

Sorry if this has been posted a 1000 times before...I've tried searching through quite a few posts.

Maybe try a DiMarzio Ultra Jazz. It's very thick in series mode.

Or a DiMarzio Model J, which should be even thicker. From what I've read, the hum-canceling Nordstrand NJ4SE might be a good option, or for a pure single coil the Seymour Duncan SJB-2 Hot for Jazz bass. Basically, you want an overwound pickup that will boost low mids closer to P-bass territory.

I hear the Model J gets close to the P tone as well. I will be using this pickup in my Squier VM Jazz when I upgrade it.

fwiw, i have the silent nordy's in a bass and they're a little thin for that nasty p tone.
