Just thinking about what I could do with this Samick Greg Bennett Royale bass...the acoustic tone is surprisingly good, but the pickups and the electronics are not doing it justice. The acoustic vibe sort of disappears with them. Any ideas on replacement pickups? It would be lovely if they were something that would drop right in, since it's an archtop and I really would rather not saw into it. I'd be open to passive pickups, if I can get what I'm looking for out of them. I'm weighing the options, and I'd appreciate some input if you had it.
