pickup winding question

hello,

i've recently started winding some nordie inspired dual coils for a 6 string and have been hand winding them.. now, i don't have an exact count on turns but i would guess about 1500. but i'm only at about 1.3 kohms resistance. i want to wind to about 6 k ohms. i'm afraid i'm shoting out somewhere but i checked continuity with the mags and everything and it's all fine.. am i just being paranoid?

thanks,
Mollin Man

Yes, if the wire doesn't break it should be ok.

If it does break you can strip/tin/solder them back together, spray with a fast dry lacquer to insulate, wait a few minutes, and continue winding.

What do you mean you "checked the continuity with the mags"?
