pickups for Ibanez SR405 5-string

I own an Ibanez soundgear 405 5-string. For some time now I have been dissatisfied with the stock pickups. These poorly designed soapbar pickups are humped, so that the middle of the pickup is closer to the strings than the sides, resulting in super loud midds and quiet lows and highs. I can barely hear my low B. I have been looking for replacement pickups, but I have never done a pickup swap before, so I am a bit worried. One of the few pickups I found in the right size (4.24 x 1.25) are the Bartolini P2 soapbar series. Does anybody know if this pickup would work. My bass is active and I didn't see anything about the P2 pickup being active.
