To anybody selling an instrument, private person or dealer: please provide at least, shots of front and back of the bass; next in priority would be straight on or 3/4 views of the sides, followed by scroll front, back, and side.

And an accurate weight from US sellers lising pounds/ounces as opposed to decimal equivalents.
Pounds and ounces? For a double bass? I don't think I've seen that too often.

And trying to get the rib-depth measurements out of the seller is like pulling teeth.
Just have a look at Ken Smith's or Kolstein's websites-clear pix telling you what you need to know.
Detailed pictures with sufficient resolution and measurements of the entire bass are the minimum!
Maybe it's just me but mensure measurements are a big deal. Take the time to learn how to measure this!
