Piezo pickup repair?

I traded for an acoustic/electric guitar recently, it plays great but only the E & A strings sound clear when it's plugged in. The other strings can be heard but are very faint and muffled. I'm sure a/e bass pickups work the same as a/e guitar pickups, does anyone have any repair advice?

The saddle may not be sitting on the pickup element correctly...try taking the saddle out and put it back in making sure it makes even contact on the pickup element. Check to make sure the saddle bottom is flat too.
