Piezo Question

My Surine originally had a Bartolini piezo/mag buffer and a three-band EQ after that. Now it only has the buffer.
And I would recommend a proper piezo buffer - because of the impedance, as you say. You could of course try without, it might be all right depending on how the pre-amp is designed, but I wouldn't count on it.

thanks for the sound clips! i just ordered a set of graph tech saddles :bassist: the hard part is going to be running them with the mags and either my ac guitars or an alembic pre...both graph tech and fishman have products to integrate it all (i need a pre for the mag pups, as they are very low impedance). i'll check out that bart buffer...
