Pignose B100V info please

I recently picked one up used in great condition (The amp only version not the combo) I can only seem to find little to no info other than someone at ampeg had a hand in the design etc
This is the first tube amp i've ever owned so even the most basic info is appreciated.

Hook it up to a 15" bass cab and play it. Though, normally, anytime you buy a used tube amp, it's a good idea to bring it in to an amp tech for a looksie,...just in case. But yeah, otherwise, play it, tell us what you think.

The person i bought it from had it serviced and retubed. I'm really liking the tone, i play it through my ampeg svt15E and it sounds exactly how i want it to, i just meant info on more of a technical level. (what kind of tubes people like with them...Any mods etc )

Man. I have the combo, ran the head section into an Avatar neo 2 x 12" it pumped ! Need to figure out how to remove , and put the head into a seperate cab . Great tube amp!

I've got one too. Sounds incredible. Can't believe you didn't hear more about these before they were discontinued. Everyone that hears mine wants to buy it from me!

I emailed Pignose asking questions about mine and included the serial number to try to figure out what year mine was. This was what I got:

Thanks for your comments about the B-100V head.

Yes it was an amazing amp at a very reasonable price. It was designed by Dennis Kager who got his start designing amps in the 60's for Ampeg.

It was 100 watts RMS and the price was about $799.00.

This head was discontinued about 5 years ago because of the lack of interest.
