Pimples.

All I'm sayin is some people *coughQintarcough* don't need knives.

I did a quick search: Acne Milk

Came up with all kinds of info about the relationship between acne and milk. Been reading a lot of studies about how milk and milk products aggravate acne and a lot of other health problems.

Here's a website for starters, and a search will reveal much more: Invalid Link Removed

I had sinus problems for years and years, always carried something with me. Got older and Lactose intolerant. Stopped the milk and ice cream. No more sinus problems among other things. Most people don't even need milk after the early teens. Some say after your weened. In the Med countries and parts of Africa, not at all.

Someone mentioned Hydrogen Peroxide earlier. Peroxide doesn't close the pore, alcohol does that. Peroxide does exfoliate the skin, it will help unclog pores. When you get a zit rub it with peroxide on toilet paper until it white caps before you pop it. Dr Bonners soap is real good to because it is made from oils and doesn't dry your skin out. And it contains citric acid which exfoliates your skin. My ex-wife was the queen of home remedies that seem to work.

The only thing I ever took that actually really worked was Accutane. Thats the true ultimate power of acne meds. And yes, its the suicidal depression one, also if you get a girl pregnant (or you yourself become pregnant) your babies can have enormous heads. Not sure why, they just do. Can't even let pregnant people handle the pills. Oh yeah, and don't go out in the sun.

But the upside, a month on the stuff and you'll have the clearest skin in school. I had tried a bunch by the way. I've known plenty of people that had tried many things, they all eventually took Accutane and were cured. It really is that powerful, I think it completely shuts down the oil glands in your body.

I have used a lot of different things through the years, but have settled on Neutrogena's product line. My skin has not been this nice since before I reached my teen years! My pimples, my blackheads...all gone within a month of starting to use their stuff.

Try their stuff...I use their Clean line.

Also, take a zinc supplement and a vitamin E supplement every day. They will help clear you up.

If I'm not mistaken I've heard that it actually does. It shuts down your oil glands for several years, and by the time they start producing oil again you're past the pimple stage.

I'm the original 'crater face'... had 'em bad when I was growing up in the 60s... saw a dermatologist, but that only turned out to be a waste of money... tried all the creams, pads, whatever... tried denying myself certain foods... damn things kept 'popping-up' like little volcanoes waiting to 'burst'... only time and maturing ended this horrible time in my life, and no matter what kind of support I received from my family... I still thought I was the most hideous thing walking on two feet... and, then about the time I turned 18, my face started to clear-up... Miraculous! However, even at 53, I still carry the tell-tale scars from my youth...

...but my twin daughters were blessed with the silky smooth skin of their mother... very little, if any acne when they were passing through that period of their lives... :rollno:

I'm suprised that no one has mentioned this... but makeup.

I mean, if your concern is how you look on a gig... it's a temporary cure. But I imagine it would also just clog your pores more, so you would want to wash it off right away afterwards.

Also, (assuming you're not on whatever drug they just mentioned) I have heard that sunlight is good for your complexion.

The whole oily foods gve you acne is a myth. Everything in your food is digested through your stomach, its natrual hormones that control how your skin acts/reacts to certian things, although drinking water will help pass impurities out of your system, which will spurr up the hormones that cause it. I've got horrible acne, but these things tend to help some, to keep it managable:

1. Drink lots of water, as I said, helps impurities pass through your system faster.

2. Don't lean your face on your hand when sitting down. Your hands produce oil, and that direct contact will pass oil from your hands to your face, and thus into your pores.

3. Wash your face with cleansers, not soaps. Soaps will dry out your skin, and your face will want to replenish dry skin by producing more oil.

4. Clearasil or whatever brand Oxengenating pads seem to help, as they open pores to oxygen.

5. If your problem is bad, look into medication. Go to a dermatologist and request Acutane. There's also a brand called Natural Lindy that produces some great stuff out in L.A. You can order it on their site, but its kinda pricey.

Thats about all the help I can offer. Good luck.
