Pink Floyd - I recorded all instruments (Check it out)

Hey dude, glad to see you are here on T.B. as well. I am actually chiming in to give feedback on a different video you posted. About two years ago (I think) I had to learn 'Rock and Roll Suicide by Bowie for a gig and went to you tube to learn from the video. I encountered your cover of 'Space Oddity' which seemed spot on. I was very impressed and having just found your video again through this post, have decided to learn S.O. on the new Fretless I just built. Do you have a link for the Tab? I mostly learn by ear but there are many subtleties to this track that I feel you expressed well...

Cheers!

Hey man ! Good to see you rememeber me hehe.
Youtube blocked MANY videos of mine because I was using the original song as backing track. That's why I disappeared.

As I'm buying all instruments now, I will do the whole songs (instruments) from now on.

About the bassline of Space Oddity, it is in the link below:

Space Oddity.doc

Feel free to contact me in case of any question !

Cheers !

But what hardware did you use? A DI box, mic'd amp, an audio interface or something completely else?

I have a 4 channel USB mixer plugged in the computer. (A simple one).
The mic is used only for voice recording.

All the other instruments I plug in the mixer.
I use a BOSS GT-10B for bass reverb, pre amp, delay, etc.

When I open Sound Forge, it's ready for me to just push the button "record" and that's it.

After recording, I remove some noises and save the files separately.

The mixing of the instruments is made in Sony Vegas, I create a trackline for each sound.
