Mea culpa, I know there have been similar threads but I do have a specific application...

So I'm looking at
DigiTech Bass Whammy -
DigiTech Whammy - same price
DigiTech Whammy DT - ~$100 more

I'm a bass player so I'd want something that's versatile on bass although as a fretless player mostly that's actually not at the top of my requirements list...

But what I need in the short term is something that can emulate the pitch-shifted finger-cymbal effect at the intro to 'Bridge of Sighs.' I already have the finger cymbals left over from another project (the Willie Nelson tribute, actually...) but need the pitch-shift effect now. NOT fixated on these products if there's something that will work better, especially if for less. They just turned up in my search for pitch-shift pedals... I understand I'll need a microphone and probably a preamp to drive the pitch shifter - that's not a problem - got a bunch of both.
