PJ bass with the split coil wired with series/parallel switch?

Does running the resistor then cap in series style still somewhat linearize an Log or A pot? Or do you know? Appreciate your ideas man! The vol pot for the hot-ish p-pup array in this PJ for now is a 500k CTS Log/Audio pot. I saw that the suggested values on this one diagram i found are different for the series style setup. Thanx, pP
The series (or Kinman) configuration doesn't have nearly as much effect on the taper as the parallel resistor.
It's all about experimenting with what works best. Hooking up a set of alligator clips out of your control cavity so you can hook up various bleed circuits is nice for tuning it.
My first treble bleeds were the simple .001uF cap, my 2nd was a 130K resistor and .001uF cap in parallel and I really liked it on my Tele.

This guy says that a split coil pickup running in parallel "acts as a single coil", and when paired with the bridge pickup in a PJ, sounds very close to a jazz bass.
It does not act as a single coil. He either doesn't know what he's talking about, or he chose an inarticulate way to say what he was trying to say. I'm guessing the latter.

A P pickup is a dual-coil hum canceling pickup no matter which way it's wired. Because of that, I would only want a hum canceling J pickup to match with it, preferably one with some decent output.

Yup BigTone, for the P on this PJ i have in my operating room, the kinnman style with the values i could muster up for now seems to make the P Log-Vol control notably less linear-ized than without a bleed at all. Wonder if i should try a linear pot with a kinnman style or switch to the duncan style with the a/log Pot thats in it now. Have you ever tried that kinnman array with a B pot?
That for the advice on this pj with a ser-par on the p-vol. u rule BT!
