PJ wiring - Pots, Cap w/ passive Pickups

Those of you that have worked on your PJ equipped basses
have you found any thing that worked "better for you" different than this wiring diagram?
If so, how were the results after the change that made you either leave it alone or change back to standard values?

Different value than 250K pots?
Different value than a .05 Cap?

Yes.
500k pots will make it a bit brighter at the top end of the pots
Larger cap value will let you roll off more highs.
These changes may or may not be to your liking, depending on your setup.
IMHO, these changes alone don't really warrant the work to do it.

If you were adding other features like series / parallel switching, or polarity reversal, then maybe.

You want "raw? Run the pickups directly to the output jack. Maybe put in a switch for Neck - Both - Bridge.
But that's just me and my whacky world talkin'.

Endless options. I like 500k pots in most basses. I find I can roll off the extra treble with the tone control, when needed. So it's nice to have the brightess of the 500k pots when needed.

I also like to put two caps on a push pull pot for the tone control. This lets you swap between a really small value and a really big one, so you can roll off just the highest frequencies as a sort of harshness trim, or you can get a thick low dubby thump with the larger value cap by rolling off a wider range of frequencies.
