Play a '68 Sunn 215?

I have the chance to squire a 68 Sunn 215 loaded with newer JBL K140. It was the cab for a Sunn Spectrum II. Exterior diminsios are 36 X 24 X 11.5.

This cab any good? I know I like the JBL sound, I've got one in my B15.

Edit for speaker model typo.

I had a vintage Sunn 215 cab back in the 90's. I can't say much about the tone bc the gear I was using at the time was cheap. The Sunn cabs were unloved and cheap to buy. I think I blew one of the speakers. I was using it along side a vintage Traynor 215 cab. :D

It got loud and thats all I cared about at the time.

As far as how that particular cab will sound - maybe run the figures through a cab design software and see if the speaker specs are a good fit for that enclosure?

There is no K240 JBL, are they possibly K140's? If so, they are arguably the most desirable of the AlNiCo JBL bass drivers. May well be worth buying the cabinet for them alone, but the cab you are describing was meant for guitar and won't have that magic that the AlNiCo JBL loaded Sunn bass cabs are known for.
The Sunn 215 bass cabs from that era are the larger 40 X 24 X 15 (200S), or 46 X 30 X 15 (2000S) ducted vent design.
