Played "Airsoft" for the first time yesterday evening...

both are fun... we used to play paintball in the woods while camping. It was an awesome time. The top guns we had were tippman 98 customs with that special barrel.

In the 90's I had a friend give me a japanese glock 19 airsoft gun, before anyone had really started playing here. It was an exact replica and he could put his glock mag in it and almost lock it in. I kept it in my car in case of carjackers, and shot my roommates when they were "acting up"... :D that thing would shoot at least 50 yards. it was crazy!

Me and about 15-20 friends were really into airsoft during high school and would have games pretty much every saturday from 11 AM till sundown. We had a bunch of bunkers and walls set up in the woods and played a bunch of different games. The best game was probably "Partners", where we would split into two man teams and go out in 5 minute intervals.

However, I started to lose interest when high capacity mags and cheap AEG's with high FPS became available because it became less strategic.

I still have my ancient Line SI Bushmaster. It's been through countless seal-changes, spring changes, upgrades and is still going strong:

A couple of years ago, I used to play with a bunch of pump enthusiasts here and that was cool, I had no problems.
But whenever I would go to a field and play with walk-ons or pro-teams? OMG forget it...

But in regards to airsoft - try a decent gun. It's pretty darn cool, trust me on that one :)

Nice gun. I still have my Phantom pumper. I'm an autococker nut and have about 6 in various stages of readiness. I usually play with an Ebladed hotrod. It keeps up with all the modern guns, is very air efficiant, and super accurate. The only downsided is the weight.
I'm used to the fast paced games and always play back, I'm not a runner. If you can hide behind a tall roller and lay down cover fire, you'd do fine. I just love picking off the other teams runners, that's my fun.
