Went to the local today and played a Bongo 4 HH Stealth. Played it through a Mesa Big Block 750 and Powerhouse 410. I must say the vesitility of the eq is really good. So good in fact I put an order in for an Egyptian Smoke 5 HH w/ piezo's. Anybody who thinks these basses are heavy should pick up a Cirrus or my '75 P bass ie, boat anchor.

Did it sound like a toilet flushing? :bag:

No, it sounded like a cow being run over by an 18 wheeler

I like it! Nice imagery, both visual and aural.

    Another one has been assimilated....

Bongos aren't really basses. They're Invasion of the Body Snatchers pods. You play one, and when you wake up you discover that you're part of the collective.

    Welcome aboard.

every one of these bongo appreciation threads makes me want to try one to see if they're really that great. or how they stack up to a MM.

    Congrats on the Bongo!

I should have a Rolls Burgundy HH 4 by the end of October. It's so close I can taste it... :D

Basscentral told me that mine was in finishing as of Friday. Should ship....oh.......NOW.

I think I actually have a photo of my bass's body on the paint rack from the open house photos.

I've run out of fingernail to chew.

Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? The one I'm looking at is sitting in a shop in the middle of nowhere. I can't exactly put it on hold, though, since I'm only *hoping* I'll have the funds for the end of October.

Luckily I'm pretty much the only one who's ever asked about it...
