Playing a Protest

Everything went fairly well last night. It was a peaceful protest, and the police stayed away. They really don't have any course of action anyway. They kept their presence down the road, and only came down once to talk to us, making sure we were going to shut it down on time, due to the new noise ordinance. Another local news station came down to help with the awareness of what our town has done. It is a very small area, and a lot of people have no idea as to what is going on at our beach. Again, we had to turn away several families that had driven a long way to camp there.
We talked with some of the people that are for this change, and we feel like we're a little closer to figuring out a solution that we can all agree on. We all know there has to be compromise, and really, we all want the same thing, we just have different ideas about what the best solution should be.
We will keep fighting this until this barricade is removed, and a real solution is in place.
