Playing with Legos

Saw this interesting post on Gizmodo this morning about a LEGO bass guitar. According to the creator of the bass... it sounds like a MM Stingray... but I sort of doubt that it actually does:

Where does it say that? He says "Its creator says that it 'sounds a lot like Flea's bass from the Chilli Peppers,'" and I'm almost CERTAIN he's referring to Flea's Jazz bass.

Seems pretty cool, I wonder if my son will let me scavenge his LEGO bins?

Yeah... for some reason I just always think of Stingrays when I think of Flea. I'm sure it sounds just like Flea's Jazz bass then.

I hope someone from talkbass buys it and posts up a full review though (with sound clips of course). I think the bass is a cool idea... just not $800 cool imo.

I was thinking of that exact bass when I read the thread title. It was hanging on the wall in the repair dept. of my local guitar shop for the longest time. Not really my style, but unique I guess.
