Please Aguilar ... Make a Combo.

If you want a combo, that's fine there are TONS of choices out there, but don't expect every company out there to make combos; you can't not hit one swinging a dead cat.

Just perusing the Sweetwater site they offer 31 bass combos between 250 and 1,000 watts; and they don't even sell MarkBass, Phil Jones, or GR Bass.

Add in these guys and you are probably at 50+ bass combos north of 250 watts on the market.

That's your answer why Aguilar is reluctant to do this, a LOT of competition at all price levels and you have to sell that product to someone who wants your amp AND your cabinet.

That's less of an issue for say someone buying a Hartke or a Bugera but at the price point an Aguilar combo would cost the buyers get a lot more picky.

Uh... How many different bass amp heads are out there? How many cabs? Preamps? Effects pedals? There is just as much competition for their existing products as for combos.

I don't think it is a big stretch to find people who want both an Aguilar head and cabinet, just as it's not hard to find people who want that from GK, Hartke, MarkBass etc.

It seems like they (still) don't think there is a big enough market for an Aguilar combo. Or maybe they don't think it's worth the effort.

The Rack Ears might fit into a 2 unit space but the amp (the Mesa) is taller than that, 4 inches as I pointed out in my post.

Point is these guys SHOULD have agreed on a standard; so if you want to rack your unit you need to buy THEIR accessory rack ears.

The amp then fits HORIZONTALLY into a rack but does not fit the VERTICAL standard.

The EIA standard dates from the early days of telephone equipment so it's not some oddball thing dreamed up 30 years ago.

Using three rack spaces for a tiny head is frankly kind of ridiculous. I'm a huge rackmount guy (between my bass gear, PA gear, studio gear, keyboard gear I own 19 racks) but if I bought a tiny head (already did) I would not waste the time rackmounting it.

Most people don't, they just throw the head into a gig bag.

I believe Aguilar is a much smaller company than the ones you mention.

One of the statements in your last sentence is probably true, probably the former.

Rackmount Kit - Subway WD-800 & TT-800

2U with feet removed. This isn't difficult, not sure what the issue is or how I offended you.
