Please give my band page a quick glance and offer feedback.

Your style doesn't appeal to me, but in spite of that I actually really like She Wont Help Me. Nice guitar work on the intros, nice dynamics and the vocals are really working in that song.

I don't care for the mostly monotonal lead vocals of other songs. Need more melody.

The first two songs sound almost identical. You might sideline one of those, they're just too similar. Or at least separate them on the playlist.

Overall, the sound is pretty good for what you're trying to do.

Oh, and one last thing; always wear shirts.

I agree with the bland vocals and simalarity between the songs, I assure you our newer songs are much more diverse in sound. I'll keep my shirt on from now on.

I'll keep my shirt on from now on.

If you were doing Iggy Pop- and Flea-level of energy kind of shows, shirts are optional. But with you're stuff, if accurately represented in your tracks,... shirt on. Even if you are buff (I don't recall if you were).

And BTW, you're taking all this critique like a champ. Hats off to you, bro. Very well done. Your attitude should be a model for what forum interaction should be. Keep it up.

I gave a quick listen. I agree with the tuning issues on the first song being a red flag. Also, you should suggest that your drummer play to a click. On Rockin' Out, the tempo drags and picks up throughout the song. A few fills don't land cleanly on the "one" either.

Funk Jam has steadier time, but No Loitering really speeds up after the intro. The time shifts throughout the song, slowing down into the chorus, then speeding back up. It's not horrible, but it is apparent to me.

I think you guys have promise and you should work on refining your stuff. Get the drummer to practice to a click. Work on your overall timing as a band and the songs will really benefit.

Yeah, tempo is a big thing we are meticulously working on right now. We recently got a manager who has us, all of us, playing to a click several hours a day. WE have all since improved especially our drummer.

Well thanks. I did ask for criticism and there is no reason for anyone on here to be making scathing remarks without substance. You are all obviouisly trying to help and know these things from experience.

Swicked, I think you more or less got all the critiquing that you were gonna get, you don't need to keep bumping the thread.

Why not show the thread to your bandmates, let them see what the public's suggestions are, work on it, then bring it back when you've had ample time to apply the advice so that we can see what you've done in the interim? :)

Well we have a gig tonight with some live recording which will be mixed, hopefully if they're good enough I can get soem feedback on the newer stuff and show how much we've improved.

Booking contact? FAIL

Sure it's a facebook page so contacting you for booking should be "obvious" to a facebook user. But a section for booking contact -like you have isolated the bio, photos, video, fans - would be good. Make it as easy as possible for someone who wants to to book you to see the info they need.

Also, Facebook pages are great, but nothing says you're serious like having a well designed (and FB/Twitter/Myspace linked) URL of yourBandName.com.
