Please help me decide between these 3 heads!!

So I'm looking for a head between 200-300 watts. It has to be tiny and lightweight. I've been thinking in the markbass lm 250, the genz benz shuttle 3.0, and if I can find one, the eden wtx-260.
I play mainly disco, blues, jazz and have a fusion band too.
I would like a warm head, but at the same time, if i want to slap or do something different, I would like to be able to dial in some brightness.
Please help me decide!

I've just gone through this, I was looking at the markbass lm and the GB shuttle 3.0. To my ear the tone from the markbass is warmer and more preferable. Even though the GB has a tube pre it is is a little "bright/brittle/clacky" sounding. I haven't played the WT, from what I hear about the eden's they have a particular sound.

I ended up buying a second hand GB 6.0 on the classifieds here because it was much cheaper than buying either amp locally in Australia and because the GB didn't require any power supply modifications. (USA has 110 volt power supplies and Australia has 240 volt I just flicked a switch and plugged it in - not sure if you have that issue in Argentina?).

I'm very happy with my shuttle. It sounds very good - not great. It doesn't sound as nice as my SWR Baby Blue but it puts out much more volume. At one point when I needed to be loud and it was an important piece I was playing I used my SWR as a monitor and ran a line to the GB essentially using the SWR as a preamp. Sounded great. If I didn't have my SWR I'd probably buy an outboard pre (sadowsky, Aguilar DB924, Tonehammer, EBS Microbass II or a Sansamp BDDI) just to warm up the tone a little.

I know genz benz maybe isn't so bright or clicky, but after watching ed friedland's review, I think that the genz can't give me that warmness that the eden or the markbass have.
Does anyone know how does the eden sound? I watched gearwire's review, but I want to hear an opinion from you guys.

I have an Eden 260 WTX and like it quite a bit. It's not perfect but then again, not many things are. I also had a GB 3.0 and didn't really dig it because it seemed too sterile for my taste. The 6.0 with the tube pre could definitely have fixed this but I've never tried one.

I feel the eden's are a bit brighter. I love my markbass but the eden may be a better fit. Extreme clarity and very warm tones. it really depends on the bass your playing.

& then U got the option of adding an ext. cab IF U EVER need..........
Apparently the Mark BAss amp is a pretty simple 5 min job with a soldering iron to swap it from 110v to 240v. Voids the warranty tho- unless done by a MB registered tech. But if buying 2nd hand.......just get yr own tech or if YOU know a bit re elec. tech stuff- like I DON'T- do it yr self.
I'd def. do this rather than carry round an extra transformer/step-up/down all around.....

yeah, I know, but that's not the main problem, I just want a good head that sounds the way I like. Thanks anyway

I wouldn't exactly use Ed Friendland as an example of someone who highlights the warmth of an amp through his aggressive, trebly playing style. After owning both, I found the Shuttle 3.0 to be similarly warm to the Little Mark II.

I think I'm heading more to the eden wtx260. It has nice features, it doesn't require any power supply modifications, it is warm and clean (according to what I heard in gearwire's review in youtube), and it is very lightweight and portable. Here on TB there are nice reviews too. What do you think?

The 260 is not what I would go with. The LM250 will be louder. Also the wtx260 sounds nasty when it reaches its clip limit.

If I were you I'd get the LMII used on the TB classifieds. They come up for sale very often. You'd save money for sure. No matter if your situation changes the LMII will always be ample enough to handle it. Its only a pound or two more than the others and is very portable.
