Ok I have just been looking for a place I can find some stuff out about. My first question is, If you leave your bass tunded every day in E.A.D.G tuning will it hurt the bass. Also I was wondering how to take a truss rod hex out and replace it if there is any way at all. i really appreciate any posts back to this.

No! You're liable to do more damage by taking it out of tune every time you're done with it! It's normal to leave it in tune 24/7.

What do you mean truss rod hex? Do you need an allen key to adjust it or is the truss rod's hex screw stripped?

It' stripped and some people have told me to just replace the neck. So I don't know what I should do.

Yeah, that would be the best bet. If it's low cost bass, it might just be cheaper to replace the whole thing. It's very rare that it's worth replacing the truss in the current neck.

I had a bass where the nut on the end of the truss rod cracked. My friend shipped the neck to some dude in CA that replaced the nut. It really depends on the value of the bass if that is worth it. If you know a local luthier, bring it in and ask them to look at it.
Leave the bass in tune. The neck and truss rod expect the string tension.

The truss rod nut can be repaired by a good guitar tech, but it's expensive. You need to make that judgment based on the value of your bass.
