So here's the deal:
I want to put together a board specifically for fretless. I play anything from jazz to latin jazz to funk to blues to raggae to bluegrass. I love the "Jaco" tone but that is not exactly what I'm looking for. I don't want a really hifi fretless tone all the time and I don't want too much dirt or grit either. I don't want to have to buy a bigger board cause I was able to consolidate what I had previous on the Mini over to the PT-1. The PT-1 is setup to cover everything else I need when I am out on a gig or playing on the worship team.
I want the Mini to house the following:
Tuner>O/D>Chorus>Reverb>Preamp
Here is what I have now and why:
(1) PT-Mini because I want to keep the board small and portable.
(1) Turbo-Tuner ST-200 because it is dead accurate, for me at least.
(1) Sadowsky Preamp because I like the natural tone I get out of it without being colored or altered.
(4) Homemade cables because I am over solderless and I enjoy doing it.
(1) OneSpot 5 feeder because I don't have time to mod the Mini to house a Brick. Besides, the OneSpot has been really good to me in terms of providing power to all the pedals I've connect it to without any problems.
My questions are:
1) What chorus for fretless would you recommend?
2) What reverb for fretless would you recommend?
3) What O/D for fretless, if any, would you recommend?
I am sure there is a thread for each of these but I am also sure that there are some TB'ers out there that have a board setup specifically for fretless with similar pedals, if not all, on their boards. Also, just want to get others involved because I truly appreciate the opinion of others.
