Please help verify these speakers - CTS Alnicos?

Could someone please help me verify these speakers in this Ampeg SVT 810? It is a straightback cabinet. I know you need to remove the speaker and look at the back of it to verify that it is a CTS Alnico with 8 - 32 ohm 10" speakers at 4 ohms. EIA codes 137 71XX, dating the cabinet at 1971 or something near that? However the person that has this speaker is 2 hours away from me and is not willing to do this. I do not want to drive 2 hours to find out it is the wrong speakers. Cant you tell by looking at the front of them that they are the correct CTS Alnicos?

They are missing all the dust caps - I'd pass.

Missing dust caps invites easy damage from dust and insects! Off hand I don't remember the voice coil being that big on the CTS's, but memory is a volatile thing.

I understand they are missing the dust cups thanks, but are they CTS Alnicos?

IF they are indeed CTS it will be from $60-$80 each to recone as they are sure to have dust damage (the general condition does not look well cared for). I will see if I can find the voice coil diameter on the originals but it's still a guess without seeing the back with EIA codes.

The look like CTS, mine were missing half the dust cones when I got it. Paper is probably dry too.

they are CTS if the speaker code is 137, that is CTS speaker code.

I understand the code of 137 but I am 2 hours away from the speakers and the person that is selling it does not want to take it apart to verify it. Cant you just tell by looking at the front of them that they are the correct CTS Alnicos? They look pretty different to me from any speaker I have ever owned?

They definitely look like old CTS alnicos. But man, what's up with the dust covers being gone? Red flag.
