Please help

It seems when I post a thread seeking help with what I consider a road block is in reality a mere pebble to most forum contributors.
So once more into the breech I go.
I'm trying to recreate the "dirty" "clean" dare I say the Royal Blood sound or reasonable imitation there of. I'm trying to achieve this using a KMA Tyler Deluxe loop splitter along with a bass amp and a small Fender Champion combo guitar amp.My problem is "simply" routing this using the Tyler. I've included a couple of pictures of it showing it's "send" and "return" jacks which are labeled "high pass" and "low pass" on each side. Plus the main "in"and "out". I'll bet that most can route this easily,but I'm a total techno boob.And as usual I thank you for the help.

I'm not entirely certain this is the right device for you. My read is your intention is to divide the signal into lows to send to the bass amp and highs to send to the guitar amp. It looks like this device's function is to split the signal into highs and lows to be routed through separate signal paths for effects pedals and then returned back into the splitter to be mixed back into a single signal for an amp. I looked at the so-called 'manual' for this unit; it's not especially informative about the actual signal path inside the device OR outside it. IF the two effects loops on the Tyler work like conventional effects loops on an amp, then you could probably use it to do a crossover function, which is what I think you're looking for. So your signal path would be: instrument -> loop splitter input; LP Send -> bass amp; and HP Send -> guitar amp. Obviously, you could insert effects devices into one or both of the two signal paths between the splitter and the amps.

But basically, the 'LP Send' is the LF output and 'HP Send' is the HF output. I hope this helps; maybe let us know if/when you get it to work.

I did something similar, only with an octave pedal instead of high pass and low pass. A guitar went into the pedal, one or two octaves lower (there was a blend control) went to a bass amp, the non octave out went to a guitar amp. There was also a combined fuzz used on both outputs for more dirt. The pedal was made by Electro Harmonix.

Sorry for the confusion.I made this thread after I posted on the other.My tablet just started freezing so I'm going to chill for a bit then study your reply.Thanks.
 
Something I neglected to say is that you wouldn't be connecting anything to the 'Returns' in this scenario. So effectively, you'd just be using the crossover function of the Tyler.
Interesting.My un-tech mind never imagined not incorporating the returns. I had to get away from all this for a few days due to FX overload.In the meantime I obtained a Morley AB/Y Mix which easily splits the two amps.(Note to anyone interested in this two amp thing,or if you need a guitar amp for fun.The Champion 20 is fantastic for $120.00 It does so much and has a bunch of really useful features.) Now I'll take the suggestions and see where it leads.The Champion sounds great for the dirty amp.The PJB is handling the Iows and I can see the allure of the dirt-clean thing.I've also contacted KMA and maybe they'll have something more to add. Thanks to you and all who've helped.I will report anything new I discover.

I'm back to let you know how it's going.I had to get away from things for a bit or my mind was going to freeze up.Anyway in the meantime I obtained a Morley Mix ab/y switcher and that was easy enough to get the 2 amp thing going.And it is a fun and interesting sound.The Tyler does indeed work as you suggested and it's low-high outs add some more of a good thing.So now I'm looking to refine all this and figure out how to utilize both Tyler and Morley for an even bigger noise.This kind of thing would have been a real gas back in my salad days of heavy gigging,but this kind of thing didn't exist in the dark ages of my youth.Well Jack Cassidy did an early version of splitting the clean and dirt w/2 amps.Gear cost a lot more in those days.We truly live in a golden age of bass gear today.At present I'm closing in on 70, retired and have time to do the stuff I couldn't in my hayday.But that's life.I appreciate the help you and others have given.
