I found this bass for sale, Im planning to buy it but something looks a little off.
Decal looks from an old 70's fender but serial is from 2001.
Also no made in usa printed or patent number.
Hardware doesnt seems original. Price might be another red flag
I did a serial search on the fender's website and no info were found.
What do you think?

That’s 100% not a fender bass. There’s plenty of new squiers and used fenders for that price. Check the classifieds here and also GC used.

Stay clear of thy bass.

Yeah, I’m sorry. That’s not a Fender. It may be a nice playing bass, I don’t know. But it isn’t worth $500.

I'd keep clear from that as well. Could be a good bass, but certainly not a Fender.

I agree with the others. Not authentic. Among other things, there are body and headstock shape subtleties which are off.

if you have to ask us, that little voice that raised concern? Listen to it. There is no need to take a risk. There are plenty of basses for sale 24-7 365 a year. Don’t fret missing out on the deal of the century.

What they said. Also, that's not a "tune stabilizer," it's a Fender Fat Finger and it's there to chase dead spots away from areas of the fretboard you use frequently.

Actually the Fat Finger may be the only legitimate Fender product in this sale.
