eh, if the guitar/drum sound is something you all dig, don't worry what anyone says. you really can't tell a whole lot about tones from a webcam on youtube anyway.Thanks for the posts guys. I know I'm a string watcher, and the last show we played, on campus at IUPUI in indianapolis, I looked down only a handful of times. The vocals usually get buried in the mix, but I think that is more of a soundman issue. Ill clip the guitarists strings.
and as far as stage presence, moving is cool but it doesn't have to be out of character to make it work. if you play better and feel better by standing in one spot, that's cool. but just making more audience eye contact will go a long way into improving your stage presence without taking you out of character. sounds like you're improving on that, though, so just be yourself...just a little more fun version of yourself, if you know what i mean
