Guys

Does anybody know some cable spec. for doing SPEAKON- SPEAKON cables?
I'm a DYI guy and wanna do cables for my AMPEG SVT3-PRO head and AMPEG cabinets. I've been finding tons of cables (MOGAMI, MONSTER,etc...), they're so expensive though!!
So, I could buy the right cable to do it in small quant. and Neutrik speakon connectors with advise.

It is no problem to make your own Speakon cables. There is NO MAGIC to speaker wires! You can cut the wire off an old table lamp it it will sound exactly the same as a super expensive one.

I bought some heavy duty AC cord - the kind that is round with the black rubber jacket - 18 Gauge is good, and you can go to 16 Ga. if it is a long run. Then you just cut and strip the wires. Remember to slide the plug housing on the wire BEFORE you attach the plug!

Get the Speakons that have the screw terminals and you don't even have to solder.

Just watch the numbers on the terminals to be sure you are connecting them correctly.

I just made some. Make sure you use NL4FX ends. You'll need 4 conductor wire as well, I used 12 gauge communications wire as I couldn't find shielded cable in that gauge here. I was going off the pro one I already had, it has 12 ga, speakon is/can be running alot of power.

Bought it all locally, 5.20 per end and 7 ft of cable for making two was free.

I was thinking in some cable brand with small impedance and capacitance (purity as close as I could to 99% of cooper...).So, that's why I'm asking, trying to buy something from the buck.........

Impedance (you probably mean resistance) within reason, capacitance, and oxygen free copper are all non-issues in speaker wire. Don't fall for the Monster hype.

I don't mean to argumentative, but I just received an education on this subject. Power and speaker cables. My tech just convinced me to modify my Markbass 121P combo by changing the speaker wire from the amp to the crossover, and from the crossover to the speakers. Then changing the connection from a cheap phone jack to a Speakon. The wire went from something like lamp cord, to a high quality 14 gauge.

The difference was stunning! I though I might just be thinking it was a big difference, so I a/b'd it with my friends 121P. He'll be getting his done as soon as he can.
More lows, more highs, more volume. Its not night and day, but its obviously better. This is my experience.
