Please recommend some pedals to me

Between christmas and working full time over uni break I managed to get some spending cash and was looking to get a few more pedals, namely a dirt to replace my EHX Bass Big Muff and something that gets a bit crazy and weird.
I'm in a prog metal band so we get pretty weird in some sections.
My current gear is a Lakland 55-01 into GK 1001rb into a GK 410neo with a B3K set to low gain always on. I also have empress tremolo, greenhouse sonic orb (a phaser), a TCE Ditto and a tuner.
To replace the BBM I'm looking for something more grainy and aggressive, maybe a distortion more than a different fuzz.

@Being and Bass and @BassBrass How helpful do you find the extra controls on the Superego+ as opposed to the Superego?

I like the sustain duration dial...you can choose Auto to last 1, 2 seconds or 3 or forever until you turn of the power and the fade out is natural sounding.
It took awhile to realize that the Latch won't be permanent unless the duration is up all the way. Sometimes I thought I had captured a sound to have it fade out. Because bass frequencies get muddy, I have the stacking of notes turned off as well as glissandi...I'd use them more for a treble instrument. (I can experiment with them more) It Is good to have Auto turn to Latch with a foot-switch, the original you'd have to lean over while holding down the footswitch and turning a switch 2 spaces to the left to Latch. not that I didn't do that without complaint hundreds of times...

I have found just one on-board effect to be very useful, the detune is a good chorus and provides movement. I tried every effect with an expression pedal, the delay is fun to move & change pitch, and the filter can be useful, but the pedals I put in the pedal's loop are so much better than what Superego+ has...they should really put the whole Mel9 and a Pitchfork in as effects and be done with it. Actually the bouncing octave delay setting on the Canyon works great too.

As for the left side switching options, all I know is that one click away from Auto is Latch, and to get back to Auto takes 4 clicks and turning the bypass on again. Eventually I'll learn what the combinations of lights on/off mean, but so far it doesn't run into how I use the pedal, as an all around note sustainer as well as capturing a sound.

EH really changed the gain structure of the plus. I have to have both effect and clean levels at max. The original, clean is 3pm and effect is noon or less. The effect volume of the original is very loud. But the plus handles a Sub'NUp into a Spark Drive adding a bit of grit and extended eq, and there is no distortion, all is clear, sounds like a dry bowed cello. That lower level seems to be better for handling complex lows. Right now I have the original before the plus, so I use the plus as the "drone pad" and use the original as an instrument against it. The original has the boosted volume to play over the Plus, but it also has a delay artifact you can hear. The plus sounds drier. It feels like the plus is "voltage controlled" and the original is a bit wild.
