They would then negate the need to actually post anything.

It could be as simple as many posters all over the internet are barely literate.

per the OP:
- everything is fine.
- nothing to worry about.
- not a big deal.
- it doesn't make any difference.
- the way things are, or the way things work out = something to b*tch about! win/win.

The biggest problem of those titles is that they are not searchable.

I like to put titles that state well the content of the thread, so that others can search it, like I do when I'm looking for specific nformation here.

Obviously everyone can do whatever they want and I'm free to ignore annoying thread titles, but can we stop with the clickbait?

I'm talking about thread titles like these:

Did This Ever Happen to You?
Am I Crazy?
Help!

Do you see the problem here? None of these thread titles provides the slightest hint as to what the thread is really about. They are attention-grabbing but not informative. My opinion on what? Help with what? Did what ever happen to me?

It would be so easy to fix these:

Your Opinion On This Pickguard, Please
Did This Ever Happen to You? String Breakage
Am I Crazy To Dislike Anything Recorded After 1973?
Help - Truss Rod Is Frozen!

If you include a little info about your request, problem or topic in the thread title, you're more likely to get responses from people who have some knowledge or interest in that topic... and the rest of us won't be opening threads we aren't actually interested in reading.

End of rant.

I'm totally with you on the topic of ambiguous-or-worse thread titles. But your thread title had the potential for a big head-fake/prank, and I clicked on it expecting that, and I'm kinda disappointed that there wasn't one.

Since we're airing out grievances, can we please switch from carrots to something else? It's 2021 for god's sake, the world's moving forward!

Since "carrots" in TB slang generally means "meh" or "whatever" (or at least as I understand it), how about replacing it with "rice cakes"? There's nothing more "meh" than rice cakes.
