Plectrum or Pick?

Real bassists don't use picks. They use plectrums.

I know that in German it's mostly called "Plektrum" or "Plek" for short. It's really not as highbrow as some of you think
I'd use it in English as well.

I would normally say "pick"--but pick & plectrum are really the same thing--just different words.

When I use a plectrum--and I don't always--I drink a martinus.

pick is modern day.. plectrum is old day european.. and still used till this day... but nothin wrong with it.. to each their own.. im endorsed.. i dont have to buy my picks
