plug in pickups

Apologies if this has been asked before:

Has anyone used a connector so that you can plug in a pickup rather than solder it in? It would make trying different pickups much easier, but the connectors I have found so far seem too big for the purpose.

I do it all the time.

Every time I order a bag of pots, I get PCB terminal blocks.

Simply fix them to the back of the pots, run solder from the pins to the pot lugs and you're done. Swapping out pickups, caps even pots of different values is easy, just a few turns of a mini screwdriver.

Come in packs of 10,20 etc for $3.

The connectors EMG use are very generic Molex connectors and can be easily had from electronics suppliers such as Mouser. Depending on what you need for your project, there are many, many other possible connectors as well.

In reality though, I know how to solder so I don't need to use connectors. Soldering is simple and anyone who considers themselves even semi-pro would benefit from knowing how to do it. Parts don't cost much, it's not hard to learn and is a skill you'll find useful in other areas of your life.
