Question for you show-off... errr, Plush cab owners, i meanMy first “fridge” was a Plush with a 3x 15 cab. It was the first bass amp I remember that really overdrived beautifully. They weren’t cheap knockoffs of Kustom at all. I believe that they were designed by Saul Marantz and built in New York. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy some Plush gear but I’ve run out of room for anymore amps !
Not sure. I blew the original speakers back in the early 80’s. I remember they had the chrome dust caps, though.Question for you show-off... errr, Plush cab owners, i mean>
Somebody in the Thunderbird club was asking if they were loaded with Altec's? That's a name i have not heard before.
Altec 421’s and JBL’s were available as special order upgrades; otherwise I’m guessing that standard OEM’s were CTS or Emi’s.Question for you show-off... errr, Plush cab owners, i mean>

Gorgeous; as that head is actually a guitar amp(with the rev/trem)are you getting enough low end? I know with mine the two channels have decidedly different tonality, and since it’s bassically a Showman clone, it should work as well since so many 60’s bassists opted for those over Bassmans.OP here... It appears we're going to be using this space that includes the Plush at least a few more times in the near future
Took a minute before we started the music to do a quick Plush porn shoot
Here's a full frontal with my Spector (note how the carpets here on both really match their drapes nicely>

Included my custom strap, the Aggie Agro, & the SUF Green Russian (these pedals never sounded better than when played thru this setup>

Slipped behind the amp's backside and flashed a quick click to see more of what's going on in there. (Why put the mute/standby switch in the back??) >

I also met the Plush's babysitter, as he's not technically the owner of it. The bassist who left it with him left town over a year ago to sort out some personal issues that he's apparently still dealing with, and though they're still in touch, he's having a feeling that this rig that's been left in limbo may eventually end up needing a new home... i told him to keep me in the loop![]()
Ya know, the first time i used it i plugged into 1 of the top 2 jacks and it sounded pretty good. On the 2nd use i got there a few min early thinking the bottom 2 jacks might engage the reverb... while i didn't have any luck twiddling those knobs on the right making any perceptible audio difference, i did notice that the bottom 2 jacks sounds phatter and awesomer compared to the top twoGorgeous; as that head is actually a guitar amp(with the rev/trem)are you getting enough low end? Those fuzz & Agro pedals never sounded so great!
