I would not consider matching cabinet labels more professional and anyway hardly any bass amp manufacturers have ever manufactured there own drivers.:-)
Eden used to.:-)
Manufacturers custom voicing eminence drivers?.
Yes mate the sticky label makes a huge difference, back in the good old days you could even get celestion to glue Trace Elliot voice coil caps in place of plain ones on a large order.:-)

Depends.
When I got my portabass head, I was very happy with the portabass cab (and the employee discount I was getting). When I got my peavey VB2, I didn't feel any inclination towards Peavey cabs when Avatar had the arrangement, weight and cosmetics that I wanted.

I've never used the same head into cab combo. Not that I intentionally avoided it but due to a combination of money and convenience I just never went out of my way to procure two of the same. I'm currently running an Ampeg SVT 6-Pro into an SWR Goliath Sr. and can't complain too badly. Well, I can complain about the 'Ampeg' sound which I guess I'm not a big fan of but it doesn't sound 'bad' per se.
