Shenandoah is better behaved in public than many people FWIW. However, she is highly trained. :)

Humans should be better than dogs, but that's not always the case. There are some incredible dogs, and some despicable people.

Anyone who beats a dog has no knowledge of how to train them, and no business interacting with them.

Well basically said people who think about beating dogs should be beaten. If you're beating them it must be a punishment, which would be a form of negative reinforcement. You're punishing in order to modify behaviour, in this case not to beat dogs.

i dont like dogs . They whine, they bark , they howel and screech ..they make all kinds of disgusting noises and they crap all over the place. They also can and will kill babies, attack a human, carry rabies and eat your livestock..
People are no better really though I have little use for your garden variety person.

wow, you've know some pretty crappy dogs.

Correction, he has known some poor dogs that were not properly trained, cared for, and loved by some pretty crappy people.

Dogs are pack animals, their human/owner is SUPPOSED to be their pack leader, and anything that animal does or doesn't do is the fault and ultimate responsibility of their pack leader. Period.

A dog that causes harm, or acts in some anti-social manner is a dog that is owned by an @$$hole, idiot, or both.

I get sick and freakin' tired of people blaming a particular breed of dog for an issue that is caused by the humans around it. If you can't put the time and effort into having a child, you shouldn't have a dog either.

I agree. Being in my situation I've known lots of "service dogs" and I can say dogs love to work, and please their human master.

IMO a dog shouldn't be treated any lesser than a human friend, as far as time/attention goes.

They are incredibly intellegent creatures;), moreso than their human caretakers give them credit for.

God Bless, Ray
