Poll: Fender Jazz or P-bass

I've had lots of experience with Fenders over the years, and have settled on Precisons over a Jazz. They seem more consistant, especially during the CBS-era, and I'm less likely to change pickups and constantly tweak it to keep the setup right. The wider neck fits my hand better. I think the overall tone fits live playing better. I also think a 60's P in CAR is one of the all-time most beautiful instruments I've ever laid eyes upon. These are just a few of the reasons I choose a P, btw.

If I were to own a Jazz from any era, it would have to have a 4-bolt neck joint for sure. It would also most likely end up with active electronics and humbuckers, like EMGs or Bartolinis. IMO, I think a Reggie Hamilton P/J could be the most awesome Jazz ever.

Sorry. You're right. I went to You Tube confident it would back me up and you're right. This old brain is starting to play tricks on me. I would've even bet on it. Good to see another Ramones fan though
