@eerbev, Sounds very plausible. BTW, can you also inform us on how Dragonetti died?
Dude, who s**t in your cornflakes this morning? I have no idea why you have reacted this way.
regarding the spelling of
Poellmann, because the original spelling has an Umlaut over the "o", which doesn't appear on the standard US and Canadian keyboard without the use of alt+num functions, leaving the umlaut off (as I have for the word "umlaut") is just a quick short form. If you haven't noticed, the english also butcher french, spanish and syrillic equally as well as german.
regarding my previous posts: through the use of the phrase "i think" in this context, I have automatically shown the reader that I have no way of actively confirming the knowledge, and this is just what I have heard from people. if that wasn't a clue, the phrase "i heard" also implies hearsay. I put it out as general "fun facts", and if someone could corroborate or correct, so much the better.
I like my friend's
poellmann. it's nice. Is it a perfect bass? no. Does it have it's strengths and weaknesses? absolutely. i have related my experience.
and in regards to the death of dragonetti. aside from it being OT, there's little information readily available on the internet, which suggests to me that it was likely of natural causes as it is suitably uninteresting.
