Polyphonic Whammy!

Does anyone else wish that the whammy was polyphonic (can work with chords)? That is probably my biggest beef with the thing, I'll probably end up getting one eventually, but I really wish it would work with chords, that would make it that much cooler.

I'm becoming an Electrical/Computer Engineer... I should design it for money!

This is kind of funny, but -

a buddy of mine has some kind of old Korg multi-effect
(I'm pretty sure it's an AX1G), and it can indeed do this.

It actually blew me away the first time I heard it, since
I didn't think such a cheap box (or any pedal, frankly),
could pull it off...but there it was - pitch shifting a whole
chord up or down a step or two, with essentially no glitches.

Go figure...

I use the V-bass with my Citron AE5 fretless and I have RMC piezo pups in mine. You wouldn't even know it can drive the V-bass as well as an AXON MIDI controller and 3 or 4 synth modules. AS for the Whammy, yes the V-bass has some nice patches, but I also have a few fretted basses with the Roland pup and it's not unsightly at all, and the whammy patches work on fretted as well. The ultimate tho, is my Pedulla w/Kahler wiggle stick and I can whamola chords anytime. Come to think of it, I love to wham chords with my Citron fretless, it took practice, but everyone hates me now.

What you guys want is a pedal that can play more than one note at a time. While it could probably be used for polyphonic music, i.e. music with more than one independant and equally important melodic line occuring simultaneously, I don't think that's really what you're talking about.
