Polytune2 not reading B string - is this normal?

Hey guys

I just got the new Blacklight Polytune2, and can't seem to get a reading from my B string. I've tried it with both the needle, and strobe modes with the same result. It only reads the B after about 2 seconds have passed since the initial pluck, and flattening out.

Any suggestions?

I'd look into seeing whether the signal from the bass is unusually hot or unusually low. It also helps to set active onboard preamps to a flat setting and maybe select only one pickup while tuning.. Also look to see if the B string is higher than the rest of the strings and that the pickups themselves are close enough to the strings. Lastly, use a gentle pluck to check the B string, and maybe change the battery in your tuner if it's not on a board with a power supply.

You can also use your tuner with another 5 string bass from a friend or a store to see if it doesn't read the B with a variety of makes and models of basses.
