Poor, In college, hungery?

Who can reveal to me the secret of cooking ramen with no open flame of any kind? My Dorm-nazis seem to hate anything related to cooking besides a microwave. Microwaving ramen just results in it being crunchy and generally badtasting. I've been eating pop tarts and hot pockets! I'm so glad the semester is over.

Cooking Ramen in the microwave:

1. Cut a hole in the box...I mean put hot water in a big bowl (about two cups)
2. Microwave the water for about 2 minutes. This will boil it or get it close to boiling.
3. Put the ramen in the bowl (no seasoning) and cook for 3 minutes
4. Drain excess water, leaving about as much as you want and add seasoning.

If the bowl isn't big enough the water will often boil over in the microwave. This always happens to me, but hey, I just clean it up when I'm done.

In college I used to cook ramen in a hot pot. Nothin' like the smell of ramen in the morning!
