Pop tick noise with EMG active p.u.and pedals

I have an EMG 35hz set with the B64 active eq in my ESP bass. With my wireless into the amp or if I plug direct into my chorus pedal then to the amp, I get this intermitant cycling pop click interference, over and over. I unplug the cord from the bass it stops, i use another instrument its not there. Whats the deal with my EMG's? anyone have this problem?

Its probably your pre amp, EMG pickups are indestructible! Have you tried checking the wiring to make sure everything is grounded?

Personally, I used to have EMG 40HZ pickups, and I am so glad I changed them to the fully blown EMG 40J and 40P5 set. The tone is so much better.

If you like the tone of your bass, then change/ get rid of the pre amp and it should start to sing better.

Thanks for the reply, actually i recently modded the bass to run my emg circuts with 18 volts. 2 batteries and wow what difference in punch and clarity, and the intermitant pop is gone!
