Pope/Fodera Preamp now selling?

I've just installed my new preamp....and although I'd like to put it through the paces before a full review.....I will say, it is STELLAR!!!

AFAIK, completely redesigned power section, low-impedance driven ground, all pickup/ground/sheild connections on a removeable screw terminal block....and tons of user-selectable versatility. Frequencies can be tailored, and the switches can be changed for a variety of uses. For example the kill switch...It can now be either a kill,
midrange frequency select, bass frequency select, or a combined bass
and midrange frequency select switch.

There are a total of 3 possible midrange frequencies from which to choose... “LOW”, “MEDIUM”, and “HIGH”. Any two of the 3 can be assigned to the
external midrange switch. Bass and Treble frequencies can be fixed high or low. The passive tone control can be set at .022uF or .047uF....or both can be used for a deeper tone.

As far as tone....the first thing I noticed was an incredibly open sound...very dynamic, responsive, and articulate. Super clean, but in NO WAY sterile...great note definition, even on a thundering low B. It seems as if the tonal spectrum grew wider....amazing touch sensitivity....VERY quiet operation. This is the most organic onboard preamp I've heard....and its truly inspiring!

More to come.......but suffice to say that the Pope Preamp is off the charts....

Aloha, Garey

I've been using this pre for nearly 4 weeks now...trying to put it through some different scenarios. I must say that I was blown away at first.....and maybe MORE now that I've heard it in a few different settings. It is amazing....the clarity, seperation of notes, depth, a sense of huge dynamic range...very alive and not linear or sterile in any way. I will post a full review SOON!!
