Anyway, today I was down at my local luthiers shop and I picked up a cort TM Stevens sig. model, and after playing for a while, I found a little switch, flicked it on, and bam, I was Dirk Diggler in a bad seventies porno.

What other basses have built in Wah circuits?
I suddenly want to own them all.;)

we live in a day where most people want instant gratification. Some are even like that with the bass/music, they dont want to take the time to learn to site read, when they can just look at a tab and have it all spelled out for you nice and easy. :rolleyes:


to all you tabbers out there, take it from a guy who learned the hard way, they are a major crutch. sure they give you an idea of what frets to hit, but in the long run they screw you!! when your called up for an audtion one day and you have no clue of what to do when someone says its a I-IV-V progression in the key of C, or just rattles off the notes of the chord changes and you have no idea of what to play, youll know why. It much better to be disciplined and take the time thats required to learn to read and theory. Im no theory master mind, and have trouble site reading, but i know in the long run its a better way to learn.

This thread reminds me of something one of my friends said while I was had Jaco's self titled album in the common room stereo.

Come On, Come OVer was the track playing, and the guy said, "Hey, cool! This is an excellent song to strip to!"

And believe me, he knows what he's talking about. At last year's Christmas Ball he put on a strip show...down to a G-string, anyway. It was kinda freaky, but incredibly funny at the same time. :p
