Hi everyone, I just got a Zoom B3N courtesy of member JeffJ2112. The only thing I missing from the Zoom B3 is the ability to run on batteries. Does anyone run this unit on a portable power supply, that could point me in the right direction as to what I would need to purchase to make this work? Thanks in advance for any and all help with this topic...

Any battery pack that can provide the required specs for the AC adapter should work:
AC adapter DC 9 V (center minus plug), 500 mA (ZOOM AD-16)
Find yourself a battery pack that puts out 9v at 500 mA or more and you should be fine.
I did an Amazon search for "9 volt 500ma power bank" and stumbled on this: https://www.amazon.com/Big-Joe-Stomp-Company-PB-107/dp/B01DE8KNEW/ref=sr_1_3 Pricey and overkill but would do it.

+1 for the edit. I have this setup powering a five pedal board (compressor > tuner > bass soul food > Source Audio Manta Filter > Chi wah wah bass wah. A generic power bank and the usb-9v adapter. Works like a champ! No more plugging every time I want to use my pedal board and with power to spare. Lasts WAY longer than the twice as expensive Pedal Train Volto, which is a complete rip off IMO.

You can power directly from a power bank using the correct usb cable without the need for a converter cable unless you also need to power other pedals.
I can confirm that a converter cable usb to 9v center neg with a power bank will work, done many drop and run gigs with that setup powering my Zoom B2 and additional pedals.
Or you can purchase any 9v center negative power supply for the Zoom, you do not have to buy the factory supply.

Warwick Rockboard Power XL works well for me. It can power a B3n and a few other pedals.
In advance, this is OT a little.... I just discovered that a Zoom MS60B, and the B10N as well as the B1Xon can all run on an i-phone wall plug powered USB. I then took that revelation to the next level by unplugging the wall socket side (big side) of the USB cable and plugging it into my little backup power battery I use for my phone. Totally worked. So, now I'm checking to see how long it can reasonably last. If it can go for a few hours like I think it will, this could be a pretty cool discovery...

Well.. Looks like this thingy output is center positive while Zoom B3n requires center negative power input.

MyVolts Ripcord combined with any powerbank should do the trick. Or, if you're in Europe, this one will do. I use one to power a MS-60b+ or B6. Works fine
For some reason that adaptor is $500 on that page.
I tried searching amazon for 'DC 5V to DC 9V USB center negative' but I'm not seeing any center negative inputs.
Thanks, I also found the Ripcord on Amazon. Couldn't find any cheaper alternatives but that's alright. Don't want to cut corners here.
I also considered getting a used 1-spot. If I did that instead, how would I connect the B3n to the 1-spot and what cable would I need?
