Ok, due to the help I rec'd from you folks on buying my first router, it's narrowed down to the Porter Cable 690 series vs the Porter Cable 890 series.
There is a considerable price difference between the two.
690 = $119..99

Does the "2" on the tail and of the model number designate some sort of kit? The 892 in the link seems to come with a lot of goodies, but the 690 seems to be more bare bones. I suppose that might account for the $60 price difference?
