Portland Synth + Pedal Expo

I was across the street getting groceries anyway so I popped in to check it out. I lasted ten minutes - it was so crowded that I could barely walk around, and that was without having brought an instrument. Thanks for braving the crowds and getting the photos. I may make another attempt today.

EDIT: side note, I've really wanted to try that Benson geranium boost. Most of their stuff sounds "eh" on bass but I've heard good things about that one, right now I'm using a Dirty Haggard Dirty Boost but I love me a good simple boost pedal.

EDIT 2: shamelessly plugging my establishment, Workers Tap and Cafe, a ten-minute walk north on SE 12th from the expo location. Mods feel free to remove and scold me if I can't plug my bar without a commercial membership.

The Benson Germanium Boost is similar to the Phat Phuk by Wren and Cuff. Just gives a little bit of character. The Phat Phuk has more range with the bias knob, but if you just use it as a tone sweetner, they are very similar.

@gonzkal very interesting. i just opened up my (handwired) Saturn VI to have a peek. It looks like with minimal soldering to extend a couple leads I might be able to drill a new enclosure with the internals shifted down half an inch or so to accommodate the jacks moving to the top. Pretty slick.

I checked this out in Los Angeles last year. It was a hoot. I might need to check it again.
