OTOH, I think the more common use of iPods, in public or private, is to listen to music.
I love it when some talkbass.com/forum newb calls me a poser. It gives me the warm, fuzz feeling of victory.

fatty.
Argh it burns! My eyes!
fatty.
Would you rather be a poser or a hoser? Poseur/hoseur, whatever.
maaaan it's not even really about following the popular fads or anything. it's just acting a certain way, dressing a certain way, and kinda pretending to be someone or something you're not. to look cool. but on the other hand there's just nothing wrong with liking a type of fashion or whatever and wearing that type of stufffff. obviously.
If you own a piece of clothing where the manufacturer's logo is the dominant decoration (like those ridiculous DKNY shirts or juicy ass sweat pants) then YOU ARE A POSER. I don't mean wearing a Fender or band t-shirt, I have no problem with supporting something you support, I mean that if you buy a "designer" piece of gear and it has this mammoth honking "Roca Wear" ad on it, then you are an idiot.
Also, if you own any piece of "punk" clothing that was not distressed/slashed/stained by your own efforts, you are an extreme case and should be given a big fat swirly every day until you see the error of your ways.
You're a poser, my european superiority complex owns yours.![]()
